the University of Maryland, where the Hohensteins were
initiated into Phi Kappa Phi.
ALFRED M. WOLFE FELLOW
It is awarded to a top-ranking nominee majoring in
agriculture, classical Latin/ancient Greek, or English.
YOERGER PRESIDENTIAL FELLOW
Established in 2001 by the generosity of past President
Roger Yoerger, it is awarded to a student in one of the basic

James R. Slater, of the University of Puget Sound, in 1985.
Preference for this fellowship is given to the top scorer whose
undergraduate field is biological sciences.
DEBORAH AND JOHN YEAKEL FELLOW
This fellowship was established by John A. Yeakel and his
wife, Deborah, in 2011 to support graduate education for
students from New Mexico. If there isn’t a student from New
Mexico, the award will go to a student pursuing graduate
education in international relations, peace studies, or conflict
resolution, or anything other than law.
