Students keep Society
It has been my honor and privilege over the past two years to serve as a
member of the Council of Students for this great academic honor society.
And as my time in this leadership role is coming to an end, I find myself
reflecting on the importance of the work accomplished.
The students that are inducted into Phi Kappa Phi are the lifeblood of
this Society. And without these great achievers and leaders from our many
colleges and universities, this Society would not be what it is today. And
that is why it is of such vital importance for students to continue to lead in
No matter who you are — a student, a faculty member, or a member at
large — we all have a role to play in encouraging student leadership. Roles
in our Society like the Council of Students and, at the local level, student
vice presidents, help develop the future leaders of America. And in such
times where there appears to be a leadership vacuum in this nation, we all
must do our part to continue to move forward.
I believe in the future of our Society and of our students. I hope you will
join me in supporting our students and our future leaders.
