Burton B. “Buck” Goldstein
University Entrepreneur in Residence and a professor of the practice in the University of North
Carolina Department of Economics. The co-author of
Engines of Innovation: The Entrepreneurial
University in the Twenty-First Century
, Goldstein was the co-founder of Information America,
founder of Net Worth Partners, and was also a partner in Mellon Ventures, the capital arm of Mellon
Bank. In addition to being a UNC professor, he’s also chairman of Medfusion, a Raleigh medical
information technology company; board observer for I-Contact, an email marketing company; and
advisor to Liquidia, a nanotechnology company founded in the UNC chemistry department. He is a graduate of the University of
North Carolina and the University of Massachusetts.
